2. Categories of cookies we set
2.1 Strictly necessary (always on)
These cookies are required to deliver the service you requested. Disabling them breaks login, CSRF protection, or language preference. No consent is required for strictly necessary cookies under GDPR Art. 5(3) and PIPL Art. 13(1).
cb-session— authenticated session token, HttpOnly, Secure, SameSite=Lax, 7-day rolling.cb-role— cached role claim for middleware RBAC pre-filter, 7-day rolling.cb-kyc-status— KYC state for the middleware gate, 7-day rolling.cb-csrf— double-submit CSRF token, 7-day rolling.cb-lang— your language preference (EN / ZH), 1 year.cb-cookie-consent— your consent preferences (see section 5), 12 months.
2.2 Analytics (opt-in)
Aggregate product-usage analytics. Helps us see which pages are used and where users get stuck. We do not use third-party ad networks. When you deny analytics, our telemetry pipeline is disabled for your browser.
- First-party session replay is never recorded.
- Retention: 90 days for raw events, aggregated indefinitely.
2.3 Marketing (opt-in)
Used only if you click an outbound campaign link. CarbonBridge does not currently run retargeting campaigns; this category is reserved for future use and is off by default.
3. Third-party cookies
The only third-party domains that may set cookies are our payment providers (Stripe, WeChat Pay, Alipay) when you enter a checkout flow, and Sentry for error tracking with PII scrubbing. See our sub-processor list for details and DPA references.
4. How to manage your preferences
You can change your preferences at any time via the Manage cookie preferences link at the bottom of every page. The banner you saw on your first visit will reopen with three toggles (essential is always on, analytics and marketing are opt-in).
